Lonan - Snake Dancer

I have a test in less than two hours, which I need to continue revising for, but w/e.

I worked on this on and off during the week. :/ I've had so many assignments to work on, and tests to study for, that I haven't had time to do much else... I was aso hit with a really frustrating art block. :/ Lovely. Urm, so, I drew this nagaboy, because I wanted something with chains (which are beyond annoying to draw) and sparkles. I even came up with a short background for him~

His name is Lonan, which means 'little blackbird' in Irish Gaelic, because I thought it was cute. He is in love with a human prince, who kept him around as some sort of fancy, exotic pet, but never cared for him terribly, or gained any deep feelings for him, because he was a naga. So, Lonan vows to gain legs/ become human in a bid to win the prince's love. Amused, the prince lets him go and Lonan slithers off in a quest to gain legs.
And then I don't know what happens.
And I realise now it reminds me horribly of The Little Mermaid, but because I am a terrible person, it would most probably only ever end in tragedy. Like the original, I guess, but hopefully with more death.

Um. Yeah.
